More About Hacker Safe
Registering for Hacker Safe Certification
Hacker Safe certification is applied to websites on a per domain/sub-domain
basis.
If you have a website and MLM Builder, you will have one domain and two
sub-domains, meaning that there will be up to three instances of Hacker Safe
registration:
1. www.yourwebsite.com
2. portal.yourwebsite.com
3. map.yourwebsite.com
Although we recommend having Hacker Safe certification applied to all three,
the total number of sites that you wish to have Hacker Safe certified is
completely at your discretion. Please be aware that the Hacker Safe
certification logo will appear only on domains and sub-domains that have been
registered for Hacker Safe certification; you may add additional domain and
sub-domain entries for certification scans at anytime.
The “portal” site represents the content management portion of MLM Builder.
This is the area that allows you to change navigation and content present within
the MLM Builder system.
The “map” site represents the user function portions of MLM Builder, for
instance the shopping cart. Because these are the areas that transact sensitive
data, it is prudent to have “map” scanned for certification so that your users
can see the Hacker Safe certification logo in them.
After the domains and sub-domains that you register have gone through a
certification scan, you will receive an online report of Scan Alert’s findings.
This report will either certify your sites as Hacker Safe or provide you with
information on vulnerabilities that need to be addressed before certification
can be granted.
If you receive certification or find vulnerabilities with sites that were
designed or maintained by MultiSoft Corporation (i.e. always “portal” and “map”; your
corporate site as well only if it was created by MultiSoft Corporation), send a copy of your
Scan Alert report to: hackersafe@multisoft.com. Include your company name in the
subject line of the e-mail and we will assist with placement of your Hacker Safe
certification logo or address any vulnerabilities listed, whichever is
appropriate.
